Nishit Bansal Appointed CHRO at Greenlam
Nishit Bansal joins Greenlam Industries as CHRO, bringing over 20 years of HR leadership experience.
The appointment and mandate
Greenlam Industries has appointed Nishit Bansal as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective September 22, 2026. With more than 20 years of experience across HR leadership, employee relations, talent management and international business environments, Bansal will lead the company’s overall HR function and work closely with business leadership on people and organisational priorities. His appointment was approved by the Board through a circular resolution, based on the recommendation of the Nomination, Remuneration & Compensation Committee.
Nishit Bansal brings over two decades of experience across consumer products, international distribution, financial services, technology and pharmaceuticals. His career has included both corporate HR leadership and roles supporting businesses across multiple geographies.
Leadership at Tata Consumer Products and Tata International
Before joining Greenlam Industries, Bansal was serving as Vice President – HR at Tata Consumer Products, a position he took up in July 2026. In this role, he partnered with business leaders across general trade, modern trade, e-commerce and emerging channels, supporting people's priorities across rapidly evolving consumer businesses.
Prior to Tata Consumer Products, Bansal spent close to five years with Tata International, from September 2019 to April 2024, where he served as Head HR for Sub-Saharan Africa. He led HR for the company's distribution business across 12 countries spanning Sub-Saharan Africa and Vietnam, supporting a workforce of more than 1,200 employees.
Earlier roles across insurance, technology and consulting
Earlier, Bansal worked with Max Life Insurance as Assistant Vice President – India HR Operations from April to September 2019. His responsibilities covered HR operations for customer service, quality, underwriting, claims, IT services, digital and business operations.
A significant part of Bansal’s earlier career was spent with Samsung, where he held multiple HR positions between 2012 and 2019. His experience included HR operations and employee relations at Samsung R&D Institute Noida, senior HR responsibilities in talent and organisational management, and work with Samsung Electronics’ Global HR Planning Team in South Korea.
In 2017, he was also part of Samsung’s Global Job Evaluation Task Force in South Korea, adding an international dimension to his HR and organisational experience.
Before Samsung, Bansal worked as Manager – Corporate HR at Hughes Communications India from November 2010 to June 2012. He also worked with Genpact as a Human Capital Management Consultant during 2010.
His earlier career includes a stint with Mahindra Satyam, where he worked as an HRIS Consultant from June 2006 to January 2010. During this period, he was involved in international assignments in Yemen and Australia and worked on projects across the Philippines, Malaysia and Switzerland.
Bansal began his professional journey with a summer internship at Torrent Pharmaceuticals in 2005, marking the start of a career that would eventually span multiple industries and international markets.
Education and HR expertise
Bansal holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from Guru Gobind Indraprastha University and an MBA in Human Resource Management from IMT Ghaziabad.
His combination of technology education and specialised HR management training has been complemented by experience across HR operations, HR technology, talent management, organisational development and international workforce management.
Leading the people agenda at Greenlam Industries
As CHRO at Greenlam Industries, Bansal will lead the company's complete HR function from September 22, 2026.
His appointment brings experience from consumer products, international distribution, insurance, technology and large-scale corporate environments to Greenlam’s senior leadership team. His previous roles have involved partnering with business leaders, managing HR across multiple markets and supporting workforce and organisational priorities across different business functions.

His move from Tata Consumer Products to Greenlam Industries also represents a transition between two different business environments, bringing his recent consumer-sector experience into a new organisational setting.
