Super Smelters Limited has appointed Dilip Sinha as its new President & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), bringing more than 28 years of experience in human resources and people leadership. He joins the company with extensive experience across steel, metals, mining, manufacturing and retail.

Super Smelters is strengthening its senior HR leadership with the appointment ofDilip Sinha as President & CHRO. Sinha brings a career spanning business HR, talent management, organisational development, HR transformation and leadership development, with experience across several major Indian business groups.

HR leadership across steel, metals and retail

Sinha’s professional journey has included senior HR leadership rolesacross some of India’s prominent organisations.

Before joining Super Smelters, Sinha served as President & CHRO – Angul at Jindal Steel & Power, where he was responsible for the people function and HR strategy for the organisation’s Angul operations.

Prior to this, he was associated with Vedanta Aluminium as Chief Human Resources Officer, where he worked on people strategy, organisational development and HR initiatives within the metals and mining business.

Sinha also spent a significant part of his career with JSW Steel, where he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources. His responsibilities included HR transformation, digital HR, organisational development and strengthening people capabilities.

His earlier career includes senior HR roles at Reliance Retail, where he gained experience within one of India’s largest retail businesses. He has also served as Group Head & CHRO at Rajan Raheja Group, along with leadership positions at ASTARC Group and Future Group.

Across these organisations, Sinha has built expertise in managing large workforces, developing leadership capabilities and aligning people strategy with business objectives.

Sinha completed his education at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, before pursuing an MBA in Human Resources from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi.
